  • Ergobaby Original Baby Carrier

Best Baby Hiking Carriers - Ergobaby Original Baby Carrier

Unlike many other hiking baby carriers, this carrier has a much larger weight range, carrying children 7-45 lbs.  It’s a much simpler, lighter design, coming in at 1.8 lbs. The straps can be adjusted for the adult and the child (as you might be able to guess from the wide weight range it can carry). It has a single zippered pocket, so storage is not this carrier’s strong suit. However, it can carry a child on the front and back, provided the child is facing your body. It does get very warm, so be careful when using your child in warmer climates, as it’s easy to overdress him or her.  This lightweight carrier works very well for day trips, whether you are going hiking or just walking around a museum.

You can find the Ergobaby Original Baby Carrier for $120, though you better be fast on the mouse — they often sell out quickly.
